Clausthaler Unfiltered Dry Hopped Lager Low Alcohol Beer (0.5% ABV)
I was pleasantly surprised to see a newcomer on my favourite shelf in the store. But is it any good?

Before seeing it in my local supermarket in London, I had never heard of Clausthaler. But after feeling up the avocados during my weekly shop, I was pleasantly surprised to see a newcomer on my favourite shelf in the store.
The Brand
The Radeberger Gruppe make up 15% of Germany's beer production, so it's safe to say they have a bit of brewing experience.
I love the classic look of the bottle. Not only does it hold liquid well, but it has all the characteristics of a classic lager bottle and label.
How does it taste?
It’s made by combining the craft beer technique of dry-hopping, where a special kind of savoy hops is added to the brew after fermentation, with the historic German Zwickel tradition of unfiltered brewing.
The result is a rich, natural brew with crisp bitter notes, a touch of sweet malt, and a golden colour.
That sounded so good the first time I read it, I copied it straight from their website.
Final Thoughts
This is a superb alcohol-free beer, and it's widely available in the UK:
Until next time.
